Just a quick aside this morning. I happened across this posting about background music for RPGs over at Stuffed Crocodile, which describes a very broad selection of useful titles, many of which can be obtained free or perhaps checked out from a local library. The links to free content are especially useful.
Thanks for the list. I also use background music and have created a youtube music list I called Campaign Music. I take scores from movies like Lord of the Rings, and other works and play them (not too loud) in the background. As a result, we often find it amusing that the music will track with the action, and sometimes I even use the music to cue the action… it makes for a neat effect. Players enjoy it lots.
Thanks for your visit.
You may also want to look into programs like Softrope and the RPG Sound Mixer – you can group your tracks for combat, exploration or any other setting you see fit.
